Novelty but nice
Fun and functional
Established in1980, Teg Design specialise in hand printed textiles and accessories with quirky original designs. Products include aprons, tea towels, peg bags and Christmas stockings, many of which feature amusing slogans such as “I’m supposed to be retired”, “Here today and golf tomorrow”, and “King of the barbecue.”

Managing Director, Ceri Darwent says everyday products with an unusual or humorous approach are often popular novelty gifts. “They solve the problem or what to buy the person who has everything.” According to Ceri, consumers are always prepared to pay a premium for an unusual or humorous article; making novelty gifts, like those from Teg Design, a profitable product line.

Teg Design believe it’s important to continually expand to maintain consumer interest Ceri explains, “We are constantly striving to produce new, innovative designs and are now on the point of diversifying into greeting cards and children’s accessories."
